Triphala ghritam is also commonly used in snehakarma for cancer treatment. Hair loss, oedema, early-stage cataract, intermittent fever, erysipelas, eye pain with itching and discharge, excessive discharge in women, cough, and other eye and eyelid associated disorders may all benefit from triphala ghritam. It has laxative properties. It balances the body by removing the effects of pitta and vata. Snehana process requires Triphala ghrita. The severity of the condition determines the doses. Externally, Triphala ghritam is widely utilized in a procedure known as tarpana.
